I have been using 10 record model and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with the results! I have arthritis, so it's nice not having to use my Vinyl Styl cleaner any longer. Turning records by hand is a bit of a challenge.
My cleaning procedure
For new and used records I have bought:
I run a 15 min cycle, degas for a 1 minute and then another 15 min cycle, using a 24:1 ratio of 250 mil of Tri-Art cleaner to 6 liters of distilled water. I let the records drip dry for about 22 minutes (the length of playing a side of one record!) and then hand dry with a microfiber cloth.
For records that have previously been ultrasonically cleaned:
I run a 15 minute cycle, using 2 cupfuls of iSonic cleaning fluid to 6 liters of distilled water. I let the records drip dry for about 22 minutes (the length of playing a side of one record!) and then hand dry with a microfiber cloth.
Amazed at the crud that comes off and oil floating in the bath.
What it won't do:
1. It won't fix scratches;
2. It won't fix a skip.
What it will do:
1. Clean without brushes;
2. Remove oils from the manufacturing process or your hands;
3. Clean a lot of records at the same time.
