Outer Sleeves: Crystal Clear Protection That Lasts
Our outer sleeves are made using crystal clear cast polypropylene (CPP) a premium film chosen for its exceptional clarity, durability, and longevity. Unlike other plastics, CPP offers superior tear resistance and is very hard to crease, keeping your record jackets looking sharp even with frequent handling.
CPP is commonly used in applications that demand outstanding optical properties (think high-gloss packaging or archival materials) because it maintains brilliant transparency and surface smoothness over time. Unlike lower-quality plastics, it won’t turn cloudy, yellow, or brittle, even after years on the shelf.
To top it off, our outer sleeves have passed the Photographic Activity Test (ISO 18916), a certification that ensures the material is archival safe. This means it won’t cause your album covers to discolour or degrade, even with long-term storage.
And because we care about quality and sustainability, all of our outer sleeves are made in Canada using pure North American film.
Why We Choose CPP Over Other Plastics
Not all “poly” sleeves are created equal. Many outer sleeves on the market use lower-grade materials like thin BOPP or mislabeled “high-density polypropylene” (which doesn’t actually exist). These cheaper alternatives can split at the seams, turn cloudy, or crack and crease over time.
Cast polypropylene (CPP), on the other hand, offers exceptional optical clarity, flexibility, and strength. It’s acid-free, 100% recyclable, and archival safe, making it ideal for long-term vinyl protection. CPP is also resistant to moisture, oils, and chemicals, and its natural hinge properties mean folds and openings won’t weaken or crinkle with use.

Inner Sleeves: Anti-Static, Archival, and Artist-Approved
When it comes to protecting your records themselves, our rice paper inner sleeves combine high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with archival-quality rice paper, a proven formula for long-term vinyl care.
Each sleeve features two HDPE sheets with a layer of rice paper sandwiched in between, keeping the paper securely in place while adding structure and anti-static properties. This thoughtful design shields your records from static build-up, dust, pet hair, and other contaminants that can cause pops, crackles, or scratches during playback.
Our Crystal Clear Inner Sleeves are made from a proprietary poly-blend with added anti-static coating and offer the same protection as our rice paper inners.
Like our outer sleeves, our inner sleeves have passed ISO 18916 standards, meaning they’re safe for archival use and won’t cause label discolouration over time.
